With the NBA Las Vegas Summer League approaching on July 12th, reports have begun to surface on who will play for the San Antonio Spurs' team.

In an interview with Cascade Sports, San Antonio Spurs 2012 draftee Marcus Denmon said he will be playing on the Spurs' Summer League squad and also talked about where his status is with the Spurs.

"Right now I'm just getting ready for Spurs Summer League," Denmon said. "That's coming right here in July and I had mini-camp out in San Antonio last week when they were in the Finals."

Denmon went on to say that he has two more years with the Spurs and will be trying to earn a roster spot in the coming season with the team. He also mentioned that he's coming back from playing in one of the top European leagues with the French team Chalon-Elan.

Along with Denmon, Spurs 2010 draftee Ryan Richards, and Miami's Durand Scott will all reportedly play on the team as well. Though there's no confirmation, Deshaun Thomas, who was drafted with the 58th pick on Thursday evening could also possibly be put on the Summer League roster.

With Gary Neal headed for free agency (either as a restricted or unrestricted free agent) on Monday, Denmon has the chance to make the most of his opportunity in Las Vegas for a week as he has the type of game most similar to Neal's on the basketball court.

Though he didn't have a strong performance last year in Summer League, he has the chance to show the team what he can do after a year playing in Europe and recovering from injury.
