While the San Antonio Spurs on-court product may be difficult to watch this season, there’s still other ways to enjoy basketball.

Here at Project Spurs we wanted to introduce a new Daily Fantasy Sports series on the silver and black where we take a look at a few players more in-depth than you would get on your normal run of the mill DFS sites.

The format may change as we launch the series, but our overall goal will not: To help you (and us) make better decisions when it comes to setting your lineups. And without charging you for it.

DeMAR DeROZAN (FD: $8000 | DK: $7400)

With LaMarcus Aldridge most likely sitting out Tuesday, DeRozan will get lots of attention as the lone stud on San Antonio’s roster. The Spurs are four point favorites versus the Charlotte Hornets who hold the slowest pace in the NBA, and the second worst offensive rating. Despite an excellent game against the Mavericks, DeRozan is only averaging 37.9 fantasy points on FanDuel without Aldridge. Given the price increase he’s seen for tonight’s game, there’s better options available at his salary range.

TREY LYLES (FD: $5400 | DK: $5200)

In Aldridge’s absence, Trey Lyles has been excellent value for DFS players. Unfortunately, back to back performances of 47.8 and 35.2 fantasy points come at a dramatic price increase. But the Hornets also rank 30th in defense against opposing power forwards. With studs Anthony Davis and Jayson Tatum listed as game time decisions for tonight’s slate, and also mid-tier Serge Ibaka and Draymond Green, Lyles could see his fair share of ownership again tonight, even at the elevated price.

DREW EUBANKS (FD: $3500 | DK: $3100)

A popular punt option with Aldridge’s injury has been Drew Eubanks, without great results. Even after earning the start last night, Eubanks finished with 7.5 fantasy points on DraftKings in 17 minutes. After two games of failing to crack the 20-minute mark, maybe the Hornets poor frontcourt could be his saving grace. He’s projected at an elite 1.28 FPPM, but if the minutes aren’t there, he’s not worth using as a punt option.
