Spurs continue to add to training camp roster

Slowly but surely, the San Antonio Spurs are putting together their training camp roster for this years team. First came the news that the Spurs signed former Pacer forward Sam Young. Not long after that, it was revealed that seasoned vet, Corey Maggette was added as well.

The most recent news is that former University of Texas Longhorns point guard, Myck Kabongo will be added to the camp roster as well, according to Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski. Woj also added that the undrafted guard is likely to be assigned to the Austin Toros of the D-league.

Kabongo left UT as a sophomore with averages of 14.6 points, 5.5 assists and 5.0 rebounds per game in 2012-13, although he only played 11 games due to an NCAA suspension.

Myck will likely share a similar path that his ex Longhorns teammate, and fellow Canadian, Corey Joseph did. That is to start their roads to the NBA in Austin with the Spurs D league franchise.

In other camp news, Spurs summer league forward, Hollis Thompson has signed on with the Philadelphia 76ers. Spurs summer league Center, and another UT alum, Dexter Pittman, will be camping in Chicago with the Bulls. And former Austin Toro forward, JaMychal Green will be in camp with the L.A. Clippers.
