AUSTIN – According to Chris Reichert of 2 Ways & 10 Days, the Austin Spurs have acquired guard Kendal Yancy from the available player pool.

Yancy was an occasional starting guard for head coach Shaka Smart and the Texas Longhorns, but was originally recruited by former Texas coach Rick Barnes.

In four years with the burnt orange Yancy averaged 4.5 points, 2.3 rebounds and 0.6 assists in almost 19 minutes per game.

The 23-year-old Yancy then went undrafted in the 2017 NBA Draft before making himself available in the G League Draft.

The Windy City Bulls drafted Yancy in the fourth round of the 2017 NBA G League Draft, but waived him prior to the season.

Austin’s roster now stands at 13.
