SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Spurs recalled Dejounte Murray this afternoon just one day after assigning him to the NBA Development League.

As we reported earlier, the Austin Spurs are currently having training camp at the San Antonio Spurs practice facility until Friday afternoon, so Murray hasn’t exactly traveled to Austin yet. But this is just the first assignment of many for Murray, as the Spurs have three point guards ahead of him on the roster with Nicolas Laprovittola, Patty Mills and Tony Parker.
The news of Murray’s recall comes on the heels of the announcement that Tony Parker will miss tomorrow night’s game against the Utah Jazz with right knee soreness.
