San Antonio, Miami Mexican fast food restaurants have Finals bet

If you live in San Antonio or in Texas, you probably know of the pink-colored Mexican fast food restaurant Taco Cabana. They are everywhere throughout the state and if you have been to a San Antonio Spurs home game, then you've seen their ads throughout the game. Same goes for Taco Cabana's sister Miami-based Mexican restaurant, Pollo Tropical, which also is a supporter of the Miami Heat.

Now these two restaurants are having a friendly bet on the NBA Finals considering their home-town teams are fighting it out for the 2013 NBA crown and it will mean a few will be putting on a jersey they rather not.

If the Spurs win in all, the executive team of Pollo Tropical will be heading to San Antonio to bus tables for a day at a Taco Cabana restaurant while wearing Spurs jerseys. But, if the Heat repeat as champs, the executive team of Taco Cabana will go to Miami and do the same for a day at a Pollo Tropical restaurant while wearing Heat jerseys.

"At both Taco Cabana and Pollo Tropical we have some of the biggest NBA fans out there. The executive teams at both concepts wanted to show some support for their hometown teams while having a little fun," said Tim Taft, Fiesta Restaurant Group, Inc. chief executive officer. "The real fun at Fiesta is knowing our labor expense will be assisted in either of the two companies."

Usually we hear of the two mayors of the cities involved having friendly wagers but I am sure Spurs fans would love to hit up a Taco Cabana later this month to have Miami Heat fans cleaning up their mess after a good meal at Taco Cabana.
