RRAfter losing to Portugal on Thursday in the European Under-20 Championships in Sarajevo, San Antonio Spurs draftee Ryan Richards and Great Britain suffered back-to-back losses Friday evening as they fell 72 to 68 to Finland.

Richards led Great Britain, but his valiant effort wasn’t enough reports HoopsFix.com.

Despite a huge game from Ryan Richards, who finished with 28 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 blocked shots, GB could do little to stop Finland’s guard penetration and once again struggled with turnovers as they fell to their second loss in as many days.

After the game, Richards’ head coach spoke of how proud he was of his team and Richards’ play.

“I salute Ryan’s performance, not just for his points, but he listened to what we said after Thursday’s game. We’re still in with a chance of going through to the quarter-finals.”

With the loss, Great Britain will not be able to play in the next round of the Championships. The team will play Luxembourg today for a chance to get to the quarter finals.
