According to Yahoo’s Adrian Wojnarowski and HoopsWorld’s Alex Kennedy, the San Antonio Spurs are interested in former New Jersey Nets small forward Bostjan Nachbar and free agent small forward Maurice Evans. 
Per Wojnarowksi’s twitter handle, the Spurs were one of the teams calling Nachbar’s agent.

And in Kennedy’s updated NBA free agency diary, the Spurs were also one team calling about the services of Evans.
However, several contenders such as the San Antonio Spurs, Boston Celtics, Miami Heat and Los Angeles Lakers have reached out to Evans’ camp as well. Don’t be surprised if teams look to sign Evans with the new mini mid-level exception.
Earlier today, it was reported that the Spurs were also interested in free agent Josh Howard. Earlier in the week it was also reported that the team was also interested in free agent Caron Butler but sources speculate he’s Chicago bound.
Nachbar is a 31 year old 6’9 small forward who hasn’t played in the NBA since the 2007-08′ season where he appeared in 75 games for the Nets averaging 9.8 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 36% shooting from three-point range before leaving for Europe.
Evans was a familiar face during the lockout as he was usually seen at every press conference as Derek Fisher’s right hand man. Evans is a 33-year old small forward who averaged 9.7 points per game in 26 games after being traded to the Washington Wizards from the Atlanta Hawks. Evans also shot 35% from three-point range with Washington.
Now if you’re keeping tabs, that’s four small forwards that the Spurs have reportedly made calls about over the last three days that free agency discussions have been open.
With Richard Jefferson, Kawhi Leonard, James Anderson, Da’Sean Butler, and Danny Green expected to be in training camp next Friday, one has to infer that the Spurs will either be looking to use the new Amnesty clause on Jefferson, or will be exploring the possibility of making a trade(s).
As head coach Gregg Popovich said in today’s press conference, he doesn’t know who will be present next week, as he mentioned that as of right now the staff is mainly working the communication lines discussing free agents and trades.
