Ever since reports and speculation started surfacing about possible friction between Kawhi Leonard and the San Antonio Spurs’ front office, the one thing Spurs fans have asked for has been hearing something from Leonard himself.
Leonard did exactly that today, addressing the media at the practice facility before the team heads out on a three-game road trip.
According to reports from Michael C. Wright of ESPN and Tom Orsborn of the San Antonio Express-News, Leonard denied the reports of friction, saying he and the team have been on the same page regarding his treatment.
Asked if his course of treatment has created friction between him and the #Spurs, Kawhi said, "Everything was done as a group. I don't feel like nothing was friction. I talk to Pop everyday. He knows what the progressions were, he knew what I am doing the whole entire time."

While there has been a ton of speculation regarding Leonard’s future, wanting to play in a bigger market and somehow tying that to a commercial and even the recent stalled negotiations with Jordan Brand, the two-time defensive player of the year put that all to rest.
Kawhi just spoke and said he wants to finish his career as a Spur.

Leonard isn’t expected to play on the upcoming road trip but apparently hopes to rejoin the team on the court soon.
