Tracy McGrady will sign with the San Antonio Spurs for the rest of the season, league sources tell Y! Sports.

This is likely with the injuries that have plagued the team this season with Manu Ginobili, Tony Parker, Boris Diaw, and the release of Stephen Jackson. McGrady adds some offense for the struggling Spurs. It is also worth mentioning that T-Mac is playoff eligible since he has not played in the NBA this season.

McGrady has not been sitting around. He was an All-Star in China in the Chinese Basketball League and performing well. However, that was the CBA and not NBA competition.

For his 15-season NBA career, he has averaged 19.6 points while shooting 43% from the field. He played last season in Atlanta and averaged 5.3 points, 3 rebounds and shot 43% in 52 games. Of course he also did this to the Spurs back when he was with Houston.

Although his best days are behind him, the Spurs had to find someone who can replace Jackson and be playoff eligible. T-Mac fits the bill.

He may be a low-risk signing but how fast can he mesh into the Spurs' system with the playoffs days away and will coach Popovich play him adequate minutes?

What do you have to say Spurs fans on the signing of T-Mac?
