The 2012-13 NBA season is barely over but plans are already in motion for games heading into the new season.

According to Mexican site Vanguardia, the San Antonio Spurs and Minnesota Timberwolves will face off in Mexico City December 4, 2013 in a regular season matchup. It'll be the first NBA game played in Mexico since the Mavericks and Rockets played there in 1992 in the preseason at the Mexico City Sports Palace in Mexico City.

The report also says confirmation of the Spurs-Wolves clash came right after the Spurs loss to the Heat in Game 7 of the NBA Finals. The official announcement is to come this week Tuesday according to the report.

The Spurs and Wolves have some of the best Latin players in the NBA with Ricky Rubio (Spain), Manu Ginobili (Argentina) and Tiago Splitter (Brazil) and will resonate with NBA fans in Mexico.
