Report: Spurs sign free agent Sam Young

Earlier this month, the San Antonio Spurs and free agent Sam Young met but according to Real GM, the Spurs and Young have reached an agreement.

Drafted by the Grizzlies in the 2009 Draft, Young has played for Memphis, the 76ers and last season with the Pacers. He is 6"6', 220 lbs., 28-years old and has NBA career averages of 5.8 points, 2.3 rebounds and shot 44 percent.

Young averaged 2.8 points and 2.2 rebounds last season with the Indiana Pacers off the bench.

He is a energy-type player and would be a nice role player off the bench. Not to mention, he is a swingman and can play in the front court and back court if needed. However, Young could simply be a training camp signing.

With the signing of Young, expect San Antonio to sign a few more players for training camp which is set to open in Colorado next month.
