With Kobe Bryant reportedly agreeing to play in Italy with Virtus Bologna (the same team that courted San Antonio Spurs’ Manu Ginobili) could Tony Parker be next to make such an announcement? Maybe.
According to Liberation.fr, Parker is expected to announce whether he will play in France for his team ASVEL or wait out the lockout.
Parker serves as ASVEL’s Director of Operations and has stated he will not have his own team pay for any insurance. That expense will be out of his own pocket.
So we we all wait with bated breath on the news if there wil be a full, partial or no NBA season, Spurs fans also wait to hear whether Parker and Ginobili will be heading overseas for the duration of the lockout.
