According to French site Sports 24.com and several other outlets, forward Livio Jean-Charles, drafted with the 28th pick in this year's NBA Draft by the San Antonio Spurs, injured his knee in a victory against the Czech Republic. He was averaging 17.3 points and 6.3 rebounds per game prior to the injury with France's under-20 national team. The severity of the injury is still unknown.

Jean-Charles will travel to Paris to assess the severity of the injury tomorrow, ensuring that he will miss tonight's game against Russia and potentially compromising his chances to play in the rest of Europe's under-20 tournament in Estonia, depending on his timetable.

San Antonio viewed Jean-Charles as a top 20 prospect, and they will be following the progression of the 19-year old forward very closely.

It has not been a good time for Spurs foreign assets overseas. Partizan forward, Davis Bertans (traded to the Spurs as part of the Kawhi Leonard-George Hill trade) suffered a torn right ACL in the championship game for Partizan but is on the mend and is recovering rapidly.
