The San Antonio Spurs training camp is  just days away and the team is rounding out its training camp roster.

Last night, it was reported that Sam Young signed with the Spurs and will likely be in camp and now a report comes out that forward Corey Maggette will also be joining San Antonio's camp.

Maggette is a 6'6", 218 lbs. forward with 14 years experience in the NBA. He was drafted by Seattle but has played with Orlando, LA Clippers, Golden State, Milwaukee, Charlotte, and Detroit.

He has career averages of 16 points, 4.9 rebounds, 82 percent shooting from the free throw line, 45 percent shooting from the field and 2.1 assists.

The Spurs did try to sign Corey years ago but he opted to sign elsewhere.

Should Maggette end up on the roster, he would provide a nice scoring punch and provide veteran experience for the younger players. However, his defense has always been suspect during his 14 seasons in the NBA.
