, Cory Jefferson’s contract with EA7 Milano is a “1+1”, meaning a two-year deal with an NBA escape clause after his first season, which must be triggered by June 30th.

ORIGINAL POST:
According to international reporter David Pick, former Austin Spurs forward Cory Jefferson will sign a deal overseas with Euroleague club Pallacanestro Olimpia Milano, also known as EA7 Milano.

Jefferson was a member of the San Antonio Spurs during Summer League where he averaged 7.7 points and 5.0 rebounds in six games before reportedly injuring his knee.

Previously, Jefferson spent a majority of last season with the Austin Spurs before leaving the G-League to play for the Alaska Aces of the Philippine Basketball Association.

Despite signing overseas, Jefferson is still eligible to sign a two-way contract with the Spurs, or any NBA team, at a later date. Teams are not required to use the two extra roster spots granted by two-way contracts, and the deadline to sign players to a two-way deal is January 15th.

Meanwhile for EA7 Milano, Jefferson adds some nice size to their frontcourt while getting the opportunity to play with a few notable teammates in Zoran Dragic, Andrew Goudelock, and Dairis Bertans, brother of San Antonio Spurs forward Davis.
