Quick Cap: Team effort fuels Spurs to victory over Legends

FRISCO – Saturday’s victory over their I-35 rivals, the Texas Legends, has the Austin Spurs primed to start another winning streak after defeating Texas, 130-124.

Austin’s victory vaults them back into first place in the Western Conference with a half-game lead over the South Bay Lakers as teams approach the all-star break.

TURNING POINT

The Legends held their largest lead of the game in the second quarter, going up by six points with seven minutes left in the half.

Luckily the backcourt tandem of Olivier Hanlan and Derrick White sparked at 10-2 run for the Spurs to push them back into the lead and seize control prior to halftime.

Texas would regain a slim three point lead in the third, but Austin eventually came back to grab a double-digit lead and secure the victory.
