RENO – A 41-point third quarter propelled the Austin Spurs to a second straight win on Friday night, as they defeated the Reno Bighorns 125-109.

Jaron Blossomgame recorded a double-double with 26 points and 12 rebounds to go along with three steals. Darrun Hilliard scored a game-high 27 points in 33 minutes. And Jeff Ledbetter continued to provided a spark off the bench with 25 points, four rebounds and seven assists.

Six players scored in double figures for Reno led by Aaron Harrison’s 22 points. JaKarr Sampson finished with 21 points and six rebounds. And former UConn guard Marcus Williams had 17 points on 5-for-5 shooting from beyond the arc.

Austin only led by two points after the first quarter, eventually carrying that lead over until halftime.

Blossomgame and Ledbetter would pace the Spurs third quarter with nine points each, pushing the Spurs ahead by as much as 17 points.

Both teams played a fairly even fourth quarter, but the damage was already done as the Spurs shot a blistering 61 percent from the field in the second half to finish with the 16-point victory.

The Austin Spurs (3-1) complete their 3-game road trip tonight versus the South Bay Lakers (2-0). Tipoff is at 9:00 p.m. CST from the UCLA Health Training Center.
