ONTARIO – With 25 seconds left in the first quarter, forward Brice Johnson hit a smooth fadeaway jumper over his defender to give the Agua Caliente Clippers of Ontario a grand total of 12 points.
It was that kind of night for the home team as the Austin Spurs throttled the Clippers by a final score of 124-83.
The 41-point victory is Austin’s second largest of the season, with the first being a 43-point win on opening night against the Salt Lake City Stars. The 124 points was also Austin’s third-highest scoring total of the season.
TURNING POINT
Austin’s high flying offense was on display in the third quarter as the team scored 40 points on 70 percent shooting.
Derrick White and Jaron Blossomgame combined for 20 points in the third, single-handedly outscoring the Clippers as a team in the quarter.
