SAN ANTONIO — The Project Spurs Network is deeply saddened to announce the passing of founder Michael De Leon at the age of 45 following a battle with cancer.
Michael’s passion and energy were the source of success behind the Project Spurs brand. His kindness was felt across the city of San Antonio, giving numerous young journalists their first shot in the industry. The sports world is an immeasurably better place thanks to all that Michael did.
Our hearts go out to Michael’s family and friends, who all were touched by his extraordinary gifts.

UPDATE: The De Leon family has set up a fund to lay Mike to rest, and to ensure that his legacy of helping young people pursue their dreams lives on.
