Prior to the San Antonio Spurs’ first restart seeding game, Spurs Head Coach Gregg Popovich announced guard Patty Mills will not play in the game.
“He’s not injured,” said Popovich of Mills. “I’m keeping him out.”
Mills didn’t play in the three previous scrimmage games, leading to the indication the team is headed into a youth direction during the restart.
Off the bench, the Spurs have been using a rotation of Bryn Forbes, Marco Belinelli, Keldon Johnson, Rudy Gay, and Drew Eubanks.
With Forbes out as well due to injury, this could mean minutes for rookie guard Quinndary Weatherspoon.
