San Antonio Spurs guard Tony Parker said he will play for France at this summer’s EuroBasket tournament in Lithuania
“I will be at EuroBasket this summer,” Parker said during an interview with a weekly sports television show in France. “I’m eager to get started. We have a really good team.”
“In the NBA, I won everything and I did so early on,” he said, “With France, winning will be special because I’ve waited for it for so long.”
Currently, the Spurs are in a dog fight with the Memphis Grizzlies and in last night’s Spurs win, Parker was a key down the stretch for San Antonio. Let’s just hope Parker focuses on the here and now and not on playing for France this summer.
Also, with a looming NBA lockout, Parker did say he wouldn’t mind playing in France should a lockout occur.
