The San Antonio Spurs are no strangers to the Rio Grande Valley. There have been several Spurs events around the area, former Spurs George Hill is returning to Brownsville this weekend, where he held a clinic last summer.
On Sunday, Tony Parker will be in McAllen from noon to 4 p.m. for the Tony Parker Skills Clinic at McAllen High School.
The clinic is open to boys and girls ages 8 to 17, and pre registration costs $125. You can register by calling (956) 630-0082. Each participant receives a free shirt, an autograph and a photo with Parker.
Parker’s brother TJ is organizing the clinic along with Next Level Training.
“We are excited about coming to McAllen High School. This camp will be fun and players will learn about quick change of direction and how to handle the ball like Tony Parker,” says TJ Parker.
Registering on the day of the event is $150 and players must bring their won basketballs.
