Parker feels more Asian players to make it to NBA

HOUSTON – There is no doubt the NBA is an international league. With players from across the globe, almost every team has foreign players. Take the San Antonio Spurs who boast a roster of players from Argentina, Brazil, Australia, and France, as an example of just how far along the NBA has come at incorporating foreign players.

Tony Parker is one of those international players who made a huge impact on the league. He, along with his fellow French countrymen in the NBA, have proven how important international players have been for the league. Also, Asian born players are starting to make their impact on the NBA.

It started with Yao Ming and Yi Jianlian and since then, we have seen the rise of Jeremy Lin.  Slowly but surely Asian players are making their mark on the NBA and Parker feels it will only continue.

"It'll come," said Parker on more Asian players in the league. "The NBA is global now. You got people from every country. Australia, Argentina, Brazil so it'll come with time."

As the NBA continues its global reach, not only will it see an influx of Asian-born players but other foreign players will be making their mark. You can see it during international play such as the Olympics.

However, when the day comes when the NBA is completely integrated from players all over the globe, Parker will be seen as one of the pioneers who started it all.
