Parker enjoys quiet times with Pop, wants to play until 38

When San Antonio Spurs' Tony Parker isn't tearing up the league and making a stronger case for him to get the NBA MVP trophy this season, he enjoys the quiet times with Coach Popovich and is already contemplating when he might retire form the NBA.

Yesterday, Parker participated in a Twitter Q&A with his fans sponsored by Tissot, the watch line he promotes, he revealed he is looking at 38 years-old when he will hang up his sneakers.

Parker is 30-years old, in his 11th season in the NBA, is at the peak of his basketball career and looks like he isn't slowing down. However, keep in mind TP has been playing pro-ball since 19-year old and younger before he laced up his sneakers for San Antonio. Add his Olympic play throughout the years and he has some major mileage on those legs.

But Parker doesn't need to look further than Steve Nash. Nash is 39 and has 16 years of NBA experience under his belt and is still going strong. Steve is averaging 11.8 points, and 7.4 assists in 32.9 minutes for Los Angeles. If Nash can  have that kind of effective-longevity, so can Parker.

And in case you were wondering what his favorite time with Pop is, well wonder no more. I got a chance to ask him to reveal something about Pop that fans may not know during the Q&A. Instead, TP mentioned how he enjoys the quiet times with Coach Pop which includes sipping on wine and a good meal.

Pop is a wine connoisseur and Parker is French so drinking good wine between the two is a perfect fit and not too surprising.

So what do you have to say Spurs fans? Think TP can play beyond 38 years-old? Are you ready to see him sail off in the sunset in eight years?
