Parker drops Nike, picks up new endorsement deal

As if making those hilarious H-E-B commercials wasn’t enough, San Antonio Spurs' Tony Parker has signed a new endorsement deal with the Chinese sportswear brand Peak.

Parker has dropped his Nike contract worth about a three-million dollars a year to sign with Peak, who will pay him somewhere between 1.2 million for a 3-year deal. That’s a nice little pay bump to go from Nike to a brand I’ve never heard of. Not that that’s saying much. I’m not up on the latest NBA fashion trends.

“According to reports in numerous online news outlets, the 30-year-old Frenchman has left Nike to join fellow NBA stars Jason Richardson, Metta World Peace, Shane Battier, JaVale McGee and Mickael Pietrus on Peak’s roster of endorsers.”

For those of you who are also not familiar with Peak, here’s a picture of Shane Battier’s shoes.

Stylish, huh?

I guess we’ll have to keep an eye out to see what TP starts wearing on the court. What do you guys think? Would you rather see Parker in his usual Nike's or are you digging the triangle logo?
