During the San Antonio Spurs-Miami Heat preseason game, Tony Parker took a spill during the game when he crashed into a photographer on the baseline injuring his left hand.
And although the injury wasn't anything serious, during his radio show, Parker gave more details on the incident reassuring fans his hand will be fine.
Via French site BFMTV.com:
"I have a bruise on his left hand but it's nothing serious. I have not broken anything. I had trouble stopping. The brakes did not work too. (Laughter.) I ended up on a photographer. In the NBA, they are very close to the ground. At first, it is impressive to see a hundred journalists around the field, some in the middle. We cannot even warm up with three pointers in the corner because televisions are installed."
Spurs fans you can breathe a sigh of relief now. Considering the Spurs go as Parker goes, (and that he played most of the summer with Team France) the team will need him at 100 percent throughout the season if they want a shot at returning to the NBA Finals. Situations like this are not something the team needs to deal with as the new NBA season is near.
Physically, Parker says he is fine but he also says he is mentally ready as well.
"I trained normally on Monday. It was a long session. Making the final adjustments before the season, since there are two preseason games remaining. The season is coming soon. For now, it's going well. I feel good, I'm in shape. I feel good physically. The season will be long, the most important thing is to be in a rhythm. Pop (Gregg Popovich, the Spurs coach) has managed me. I did a workout or two, and I did not made the trip to Denver. Mentally, I feel good."
