‘Money Mase’ invites Neal to mini-training camp

With players gearing up for the NBA season to kick off next month, many might be looking to get in some extra time at the gym before having to report to training camps in a few weeks.

Former San Antonio Spurs guard Roger Mason, Jr. has helped put together a mini-training camp in the Washington D.C. area in an effort to help players be ready for the season and “Money Mase” has invited Spurs’ Gary Neal along with several other players.

Mason has invited several players, including current Wizards John Wall, Andray Blatche and Hamady Ndiaye, former Wizards Brendan Haywood and Jared Jeffries, and Baltimore natives Josh Selby of the Memphis Grizzlies and Gary Neal of the San Antonio Spurs.

Let’s face it, it’s going to be a hectic time in the NBA as teams rush to get prepared while front offices deal with free-agency. Any extra time in the gym for Neal to be ready to hit the court running once the Spurs’ training camp opens is only going to help himself and the team.

As Manu Ginobili recently said, the shortened season is going to be a grind. And with teams having to deal with back-to-back-to-back games, a few extra sprints down the court now can only help Neal later.
