Former San Antonio Spurs player and color commentator Malik Rose has found a full time gig in the broadcasting world. Rose will be returning to his home city of Philadelphia to become the Philadelphia 76ers’ full time broadcaster according to the 76ers official site.

Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia, the leader in local sports coverage, today announced that former Drexel University standout and two-time NBA Champion Malik Rose joins Marc Zumoff and Meredith Marakovits on the Sixers broadcast team. Comcast SportsNet and The Comcast Network will air all 66 regular season games with “Sixers Pregame Live” and “Sixers Postgame Live” airing before and after every regular season game.

Over the last few seasons Rose would mainly fill in for Sean Elliot when Elliot wouldn’t make lengthy road trips such as the infamous Rodeo Road Trip. Rose added his own brand of excitement to Spurs games and he’ll surely make the Philly crowd enthusiastic about watching games from the television. Rose is also very good at reading player’s on the court and analyzing what they need to improve on during the game to make a difference.
