Leonard to Miss 2017-2018 Preseason Schedule while Recovering from Quadriceps Tendinopathy

The San Antonio Spurs released the following press statement regarding All-Star forward Kawhi Leonard Saturday morning regarding how Leonard will miss the entire 2017-2018 preseason.

Spurs forward Kawhi Leonard continues a rehabilitation program for right quadriceps tendinopathy. He is expected to miss the 2017 preseason. A timeline for his return to the court will be determined at a later date.

As the release states, it’s unknown when Leonard will be able to return and whether he’ll have to miss regular season games as well. The Spurs’ preseason schedule will consist of five games from October 2 to October 13.

The Spurs’ regular season schedule begins October 18 when the Spurs host the Minnesota Timberwolves.
