The National Basketball Players Association announced today via Twitter the winners of their 3rd annual Players Voice awards.

Spurs forward Kawhi Leonard was named Best Defender, while coach Gregg Popovich earned The Players’ Coach or coach you’d most like to play for.

“What makes him special is his passion and knowledge of the game,” Spurs center Pau Gasol said about Popovich. “He understands that life is bigger than basketball.”

Rounding out the awards for the Spurs was guard Manu Ginobili who was named to the Western Conference’s Teammate of the Year selection.

Former Spurs players Boris Diaw, Garrett Temple and David West were also among the selections for Teammate of the Year.
