Kyle Anderson Reassigned To Austin Spurs

In what seems to be a weekly ritual, the San Antonio Spurs have reassigned Kyle Anderson to the Austin Spurs just in time for tonight’s game versus the Rio Grand Valley Vipers.

Anderson was recalled from Austin on March 16th, after Manu Ginobili sprained his ankle versus the Minnesota Timberwolves. In that time frame, the rookie only appeared in three games for San Antonio, totaling two points and one rebound in five minutes of action as Coach Pop’s human victory cigar.

In his 21 games with Austin, Anderson’s averaging 22.1 points, 9.0 rebounds and 4.8 assists in just under 41 minutes a game as a starter. Anderson was also named the D-League’s Player of the Month for February, and received Player of the Week honors in the same month.

Anderson figures to slide right into the starting lineup immediately, but no word on how long he’ll stay this time, with just five games left in the Austin Spurs season.
