Kentucky vs. Arkansas Odds, prediction, how to watch and Betting Lines

Both Kentucky and Arkansas have won their last two games by 10 or less points so neither are terribly hot. Someone’s winning streak will be broken in this one and while it won’t terribly affect Kentucky’s tournament fate, it could help out the Hogs quite a bit with their seeding. Of course, losing the game might cost the Wildcats a seed line, but they could get it back in the SEC Tournament.

Arkansas sophomore Jaylin Williams has been playing well, but he’s going to have his hands full likely guarding Oscar Tshiebwe. As you likely know by now, Tshiebwe does just about everything for the Wildcats and gives them a ton of extra possessions and ends defensive ones with his rebounding. If Williams can keep him off the glass, the Razorbacks should find some success in this game.

Kentucky vs. Arkansas Basketball Game Betting Preview

This game will likely come down to who can get extra possessions and who can get to the free throw line more often. Kentucky holds the advantage in the rebounding department by quite some margin. However, Arkansas makes the fourth-most free throws in the country on the seventh-most attempts. So if UK gets a bit too touchy, Arkansas should find itself going on a free throw parade and that is to its benefit.

As mentioned previously, Kentucky is an excellent rebounding team as they collect the seventh-most total rebounds in the country per game and 10th-most offensive boards. Tshiebwe is the main guy who handles the rebounding for Kentucky so limiting him will be key and it will fall on more than just Williams to keep the big man off the glass.

On the Arkansas side of things, JD Notae will be the main target of Kentucky’s defense. He averages almost 19 points a game and shoots the ball fairly well for a high-usage player. Of course, Stanley Umude should not be discounted as he’s gotten into a groove as of late, scoring in double figures in four out of his last five games.
