This is a phenomenal matchup of top-10 teams in Waco as the Baylor Bears host Kansas in their second matchup of the season. Baylor got blown out in the first game at Phog Allen. So they will certainly be looking for revenge in this one as they’ve started to play much better since that game, despite some losses in between.

Kansas has won its last four games and has been playing some solid ball as of late. Christan Braun and Ochai Agbaji have been a scary one-two punch in the Big 12 with some help from different characters each night. When David McCormack plays well the Jayhawks tend to do the same so hopefully he can have a big night against the likes of Flo Thamba, Jeremy Sochan, and Kendall Brown who may take turns guarding him.

Kansas vs. Baylor Basketball Game Betting Preview

While the Jayhawks have been averaging 80 points a game, Baylor has been regularly keeping teams to 63 points a game. If the Bears’ defense can hold up at home with some favorable crowd conditions, it should have a great chance at getting revenge from its previous matchup. The Bears also average about 77 points themselves so that should be enough to win if the defense holds in this game.

Both teams shoot the ball well from three as they are both hitting at over a 35% clip and both teams keep opponents shooting only 30% from there. So it seems the long ball shooting is quite even. However, shooting inside the arc has come much easier for the Jayhawks who shoot it at a blistering 56.5% and Baylor at 53.7% from there. Kansas guards love to get to the midrange pull up for some of their shots and when those start falling, they are able to get to the rim with a defense that has to extend itself.

Baylor is exceptional at generating steals with 9.3 a game and force 16.5 turnovers per game. Kansas has had games where it’s been loose with the ball and it’s cost the Jayhawks a win. They’ll have to be much sharper to win in Waco and sweep the season series. Kansas is basically at a 1:1 ratio when it comes to generating and giving up turnovers so it will have to be a little better than that to come out of a tough environment with a win.
