The injury bug hits the San Antonio Spurs once again.

Backup point guard T.J. Ford suffered a hamstring injury during the loss in Milwaukee and will be out 4-6 weeks according to head coach Gregg Popovich (via Project Spurs’ Paul Garcia). And now that the backcourt is thin, the Spurs have recalled rookie point guard Cory Joseph from the Austin Toros.

Joseph averaged 11.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.75 steals in 31.8 minutes for Austin.

Expect Joseph and Gary Neal to split time backing up Tony Parker with Ford sidelined.
