Austin Spurs forward, Jarell Eddie, has been selected to participate in the D-League’s Three-Point Contest, taking place during halftime of this weekend’s D-League All-Star Game.

From the NBA Development League’s press release:

The 2015 NBA Development League Dream Factory presented by Boost Mobile returns to NBA All-Star festivities on Sunday, Feb. 15, at 2:00 p.m. ET as it tips off NBA D-League All-Star activities at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Events get underway with the Boost Mobile NBA D-League Three-Point Contest, which includes six sharp-shooting NBA D-League standouts. Action continues during halftime of the 2015 NBA D-League All-Star Game presented by Kumho Tire with the Boost Mobile NBA D-League Slam Dunk Contest features five high-flying NBA D-Leaguers.

The six-man Boost Mobile NBA D-League Three-Point Contest features long-range shooters Vander Blue (Los Angeles), Seth Curry (Erie), whose brother Stephen (Golden State) is competing in the NBA’s Foot Locker Three-Point Contest, Jarell Eddie (Austin), Shane Gibson (Idaho), DJ Seeley (Delaware) and David Wear (Reno). All six shooters are connecting on more than 40 percent of their shots from deep, with Curry draining an NBA D-League high 108 three’s this season.

The 6’7 Eddie is in his first D-League season, after going undrafted out of Virginia Tech in 2014. After bouncing around the Wizards, Hawks and Celtics during Summer League and training camp, he found a home with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants, who then traded him to the Austin Spurs two days later.

Eddie is averaging 12.3 points and 3.3 rebounds in just over 25 minutes per game, alternating between starting and coming off the bench for the Austin Spurs. The sharp-shooting Eddie is shooting 43.5% on field goals and 43.1% on three pointers this season, with his three-point percentage being good for 7th best in the D-League.
