Jarell Eddie’s return to the NBA’s Development League is already paying dividends for the Austin Spurs as Eddie was named D-League Performer of the Week for the week of March 16th through the 22nd. The award, which is Eddie’s first of the season, has already been held by former teammates Kyle Anderson and Bryce Cotton.

Eddie averaged 26.0 points and 6.5 rebounds per game, while also becoming a human flamethrower on the court with his 65% shooting on field goals, 63% from the three point line. Eddie’s contributions also helped the Spurs to a perfect 2-0 record last week, clinching a playoff spot in the process.

In 39 games for the Spurs this season, Eddie’s averaged 12.6 points and 3.5 rebounds, coming off the bench and starting for Austin. Eddie’s performance this season also earned him a 10-day contract with the Atlanta Hawks earlier this month, but was not given any minutes to showcase his ability.
