Purdue being a top-four seed in the Big Ten Tournament means a bye for the Boilermakers. So that has meant they’ve only had to play two games so far. They beat a lowly Penn State team and a recently resurgent Michigan State team as well to get to the final. They’ll need all the offense they can muster and some defense in this one to claim the Big Ten title.

Iowa vs. Purdue Basketball Game Betting Preview

Iowa is a top-5 scoring offense at over 84 points a game and it’s easy to see why. The Hawkeyes turn the ball over less than 10 times a game and average 16 assists a game too. They shoot nearly 37% from beyond the arc and shoot over 52% from inside the arc. Certainly that’s a good recipe for winning games.

While Iowa might have a hot and high-scoring offense, Purdue might have the most efficient offense in the country. The Boilermakers shoot almost 40% from beyond the arc and shoot a shade under 50% from the field overall. They also don’t turn the ball over too often at less than 12 times a game.

While both of these teams are likely to score in bunches, the game is going to likely come down to who can play some semblance of defense. One of these teams will have to at least try to force the other into some bad or difficult shots if it wants to win the game an claim the Big Ten Tournament title for 2022.
