It’s been a tough road trip for the Spurs, losing three straight. In their last game against the Sacramento Kings, San Antonio played without Keldon Johnson, which showed in the third quarter. There were multiple chances for the Silver and Black to take the lead in the third quarter but turnovers and bad shots gave the Kings the advantage they needed to pull away with the game. Vassell matched his career-high of 29 points and Sochan had an amazing throw-down dunk that NBA players and fans alike still haven’t stopped talking about it. Hopefully, those day-to-day injuries for the Spurs will be okay to play, as they will need a strong effort from all four of them if they want to beat this tough Clippers team.
Leonard returned to action for the Clippers in their game against Detroit on Thursday. In 25 minutes Leonard had six points. For what it’s worth, on the shots he made, he looked just like vintage Leonard with fade-away jump shots and demanding the defense’s respect.
