PBC Fight Night Luis Ortiz vs Charles Martin Main Event Preview

Heavyweight bouts in boxing are nearly unmatched when it comes to powerful blows and how much damage the fighters can absorb. Ortiz (32-2-0) and Martin (28-2-1) know a thing or two about power, with each owning a career knockout percentage at or near 75 percent. The pair of southpaws have been at the top of the boxing world and seeking another crack at a heavyweight title. Ortiz, 42, last had a chance in 2018 when he nearly upset Deontay Wilder before being finished himself in the tenth round.

It has been a little longer for the 35-year-old Martin since he’s been in a title fight. In 2016, Martin was a new IBF heavyweight champion, and in his first title defense landed Anthony Joshua. Joshua won the fight, and Martin went to work building up his resume for another opportunity. How things shake out for Ortiz and Martin on Saturday night could present the winner of the fight with exactly what they need to earn a championship fight again.

The final two fights feature welterweights Alayn Mimonta (3-0-0) and Ray Barlow (5-1-0) with light heavyweights Atif Oberlton (4-0-0) fighting Ernest Amuzu (26-5-0).

This is a monster card with giant fighters capable of winning with one blow against any opponent. Should make for a great card.
