Colts vs Cardinals NFL on Christmas Day Game Preview
Two teams trending in different directions, the Arizona Cardinals and the Indianapolis Colts both have a shot to win their respective divisions.
Indianapolis’ running back Jonathan Taylor is making a strong MVP race himself this year. The do-it-all workhorse has been huge this season and may collect the rushing crown in the process. Quarterback Carson Wentz has also done well down the stretch and more importantly hasn’t done anything to hurt his team’s chances of winning. The defense is really clicking now too.
Playing against that defense is a Cardinals team that will be without top-target DeAndre Hopkins as the team looks to find their footing. They’ve now lost two consecutive games, and three of their four losses this season have been at home. Kyler Murray is one of the best young quarterbacks in the league. His team needs him to be great on Saturday to deliver the fans in Arizona a win on Christmas Day. Doing so could lock up the Cardinals’ return to the postseason.
Green Bay has already punched their ticket to the playoffs, and a win on Saturday will help them in securing the NFC’s lone bye week in the postseason. Aaron Rodger is a top candidate for the league’s MVP award, which would be his second consecutive year of winning the honor. Cleveland’s inconsistencies on offense and defense play in the Packers’ favor, as they have lost playmakers on both sides of the ball throughout the season. Still, the offensive trio of Rodgers, Davante Adams, and Aaron Jones is not a bad place to start.
