Los Angeles Rams vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers Playoffs Preview
Tom Brady and Matthew Stafford have had two opposite careers. Stafford was the number-one overall selection by the Detroit Lions in the 2009 NFL Draft. Before this season he had spent his entire career with the Lions, reaching the playoffs just three times, never advancings past the first round. Brady, on the other hand, was a sixth-round pick by the New England Patriots who has become the most winningest quarterback in Super Bowls of all time, earning his seventh last year with the Buccaneers.
None of that matters on Sunday when the two take the field to lead their respective units. Both teams have two of the best defenses in the league, have rosters constructed of immense talent. Like the Buccaneers last year, the Rams went all-in on this season, making key acquisitions throughout the season, picking up A-list players. It paid off for Tampa Bay last year and last week’s victory over the Arizona Cardinals saw the Rams finally dominate as they had planned.
Time has shown that it doesn’t usually pay to bet against Brady, and DraftKings Sportsbook would agree, favoring the champions by 2½ points. With two teams so deep with experience, it will likely come down to whichever team makes the minor mistake that the other exploits. The pressure is on the Buccaneers to repeat their title, but for Los Angeles, it’s seemingly now or never.
