Of all the players on that list, point guard Mario Chalmers is the only one not currently in the NBA Development League, as he continues his recovery from a ruptured right Achilles.
Thompson’s only been in Austin for eight games after the Spurs acquired him in the trade that sent Jarell Eddie to the Windy City Bulls.
In his limited action, Thompson’s averaging 17.0 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 28 minutes per game, while shooting 50 percent from field and 48 percent on 3-point attempts.
Thompson would be Austin’s first Gatorade Call-Up of the season.
