UNIONDALE – With six players scoring in double figures, the Austin Spurs dismantled the Long Island Nets on Tuesday night, 113-94.

Leading the way for Austin was the duo of Darrun Hilliard and Derrick White. Both players logged just 24 minutes each, with Hilliard scoring 23 points and White finishing with 22.

Livio Jean-Charles had a strong showing off the bench, recording a 16 points and 11 rebounds in 22 minutes for his first double-double of the season. Amida Brimah also logged a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds while adding three blocks.

And finally for Austin, Olivier Hanlan finished with 13 points, eight rebounds, four assists and three steals. Matt Costello too stuffed the box score with eight points, five rebounds, four assists, three steals and four blocks.

It was a quick start for the Spurs, going from an 8-7 lead into a 14-2 run to blow the contest wide open.

Austin pushed their lead to 12 points in the second, but Long Island’s Jeremy Senglin had eight points in the quarter to keep the Nets down just ten at halftime.

Both teams shot over 50 percent to start the third quarter, but the Nets chipped into the Spurs lead by going 4-for-10 from beyond the arc in the quarter to make it a five point game.

The Nets made one final push midway through the fourth quarter, down just 93-88 after Milton Doyle hit a technical free throw. But Hilliard earning that technical helped spark a 10-0 run for Austin to seal the game.
