The Austin Spurs may see a familiar face return to the lineup soon, as Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported the news that Jarell Eddie won’t be receiving a second 10-day contract from the Atlanta Hawks.

Eddie was picked up by the Hawks on Thursday, March 5th, but was never even given the opportunity to take off his warmup jacket. With his contract expiring on Saturday, Eddie was seen saying his goodbyes around the Hawks locker room. And with no minutes to showcase his potential NBA ability, the 6’7 forward out of Virginia Tech might soon be reuniting with his comrades in silver and black, who are in the midst of a four-game losing streak.
The sharpshooting Eddie is averaging 11.9 points per game to go along with 3.4 rebounds, while his 42.4% shooting from three and 87% from the free throw line, are both among the top-10 in the D-League’s league leaders.
Eddie’s hot shooting also helped him become the 2015 Boost Mobile NBA D-League Three Point Contest champion during All-Star Weekend.
The Hawks have not officially announced the roster move as of Monday morning.
