San Antonio Spurs draftee Adam Hanga has been racking up the awards with his play in the Spanish ACB League lately.
He was announced as the MVP of the Week and was also named as part of the All-Star five of the week.
His most recent game came on Sunday. In just over 26 minutes of playing time, Hanga managed to finish with 28 points, five rebounds, four assists and three blocked shots.
While Hanga wasn’t on the floor long, he displayed a solid offensive and defensive game. He showed off his touch outside and his quick first step and athleticism driving to the rim, even stopping on a dime before he reached the basket to lay up a shot over a taller defender.
As part of the group of five players named to the All-Star group, they are chosen for attitude, generosity, leadership, effectiveness and delivery. Hanga was chosen for the delivery category.
While Hanga has received an offer to play in Italy, he has chosen to play out the remainder of the season with his Spanish team, Manresa.
It was the first time Hanga has received the award. This season he is averaging 11.4 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.2 steals in just over 25 minutes per game for Manresa, who us currently in last place in ACB standings with a 6-25 record.
