By now, everyone knows about how last night’s game between the San Antonio Spurs and Memphis Grizzlies ended. The Spurs won in overtime thanks to a big shot by Manu Ginobili and an even bigger shot by Gary Neal to force extra minutes. A fantastic win for San Antonio. A crushing loss for Memphis.
Now as the series shifts back to Memphis for Game 6, are the Grizzlies still dwelling on how they lost Game 5? No, say the Grizzlies, and for Zach Randolph, who had a sleepless night, he says he wants to play San Antonio now:
“I wish we could play right now,” Randolph said this afternoon after the Griz gathered for a film session.
Unfortunately for Randolph, he will have to wait until tomorrow night to take on the Spurs. However, one has to think whether the Spurs’ Game 5 win took the wind out of the sails of the young Memphis squad.
