According to Sam Amick of Sports Illustrated and Marc Spears of Yahoo Sports!, San Antonio Spurs 
restricted free agent Danny Green has agreed to sign a new three-year deal worth 12 million dollars (fully guaranteed) according to their sources. After the reports surfaced, the San Antonio Express News also received confirmation from Green’s agent Bill Duffy according to Mike Monroe.
Green himself took to Twitter and said he and the Spurs have unfinished buisness to win another NBA championship together.
Though Green had a rough Western Conference Finals series against the Oklahoma City Thunder, he showed he had value with San Antonio by becoming the starting shooting guard through the majority of the regular season because of his ability to guard both point guards and shooting guards, but also contribute on offense by hitting his three pointers at a high percentage.
The only two teams rumored to be interested in Green during free agency were the Boston Celtics and Utah Jazz. With the Celtics signing Jason Terry and possibly Courtney Lee, and the Jazz trading for Marvin Williams, Green’s best chance seemed to be with the Spurs. Green also told our own Jeff Garcia two weeks ago in New York City that the Spurs were his number one option in free agency.
With Green back on board, the Spurs still have to take care of re-signing Tim Duncan, possibly Boris Diaw, and maybe Patty Mills if no other teams throw lucrative offers at him. The new question is whether the Spurs are still interested in bringing French guard Nando De Colo over since they seem to have a log jam at the shooting guard position with Manu Ginobili, Green, and Gary Neal. De Colo could still play backup point guard to Tony Parker.
