Green’s goal is to get Duncan, Ginobili back

The San Antonio Spurs front office will be busy this offseason. Manu Ginobili and Tiago Splitter are free agents and Tim Duncan will be entering his final guaranteed contract season (player option in 2014-15 season).

Bringing back Manu will be high atop the Spurs off season to-do list not only for the Spurs but also for Danny Green who says his goal is to bring back Ginobili and Duncan for one more run at the title after coming so close this past season.

Spurs GM R.C. Buford recently said he will like to see Manu retire in San Antonio and many feel Manu shares the same sentiment.  I cannot see the Spurs letting Manu wal unless it is for a player they cannot pass up.

Duncan is signed on for next season and with the team coming up short in the Finals versus the Heat, he will be looking for redemption next season.

Either way, Green sees the bigger picture and that's the NBA title. But the road to the Finals will not be as "easy" next season. The Thunder will have Russell Westbrook back in the fold, the Warriors will only get better and the Heat are still sporting LeBron James on their roster.

And as much as Green wants Timmy and Manu back and ready to go, it might be best to leave that to the front office while he focuses on improving his game so when the team does need him, he is ready to go.
