While Tony Parker (left quadriceps tendon surgery) and Kawhi Leonard (right quadriceps tendinopathy) were already expected to be out of Friday’s preseason game against the Sacramento Kings, Spurs Head Coach Gregg Popovich said Manu Ginobili will also miss the game, but only for rest.
However, Popovich did say that Ginobili will play in Sunday’s preseason home game when the Spurs host the Denver Nuggets.
On Leonard’s injury status, Popovich reiterated that there still isn’t a timetable set for when Leonard will return.
The Kings will also be without six players in Friday’s preseason game, as Harry Giles (bi-lateral knee rehabilitation) and the following players will be out for rest: George Hill, Vince Carter, Kosta Koufos, Zach Randolph, Garrett Temple.
